Black Mountain was transformed from lush jungle and pineapple plantations. It is located about 25 minutes west of Hua Hin. Set in a valley surrounded by towering black granite mountains, the Hua Hin golf course hosted Asian PGA Tour events in 2009 and 2010, as well as the Royal Trophy Europe vs. Asia Match Play in 2011. In 2012, and every year since, Black Mountain has been selected by the magazine Golf Digest as one of the top 100 golf courses outside the United States.
It is located approximately 10 km west of Hua Hin. The bunkers and fairways are in excellent condition given the exposed nature of the landscape.
